The plan for Port Royal was a subset of the plan for broader Beaufort County shared below. It described how strategies at the county scale could mesh with and support strategies at the town scale. Included within this plan was a small area study for the disconnected west portion of Port Royal that integrated place making, green infrastructure, environmental protection, transit, and affordable housing. It was assumed that this western portion of town was already spoiled. Our plans showed the community that there were tangible ways that it could evolve to create a place that shared principles and values with the more historic eastern side of Port Royal.
